Days of Poetry and Wine, one of the most prominent Central European poetry festivals, successfully unites poetry with enology. Every year in the last warm August days the festival hosts over twenty poets from all over the world along with selected domestic winemakers.

Asli Erdoğan is a Turkish writer, human rights fighter, prize-winning novelist, and columnist for Özgür Gündem. In 2016, she was incarcerated and spent four months in pre-trial detention in Turkey. Today, she lives in exile in Berlin, Germany.
