Asli Erdoğan’s keynote for the PEN International Women Writer’s Committee

Asli Erdoğan is a Turkish writer, human rights fighter, prize-winning novelist, and columnist for Özgür Gündem. In 2016, she was incarcerated and spent four months in pre-trial detention in Turkey. Today, she lives in exile in Berlin, Germany.

Asli Erdoğan’s novels are translated in many world languages, also in German. in her speech she talks about the fragility of a person against a repressive regime in Turkey.
