Lyrik trifft auf Hip-Hop: Sechs herausragende Artists – Amewu, BRKN, Conny, Alice Dee, Malonda und Ebow – verleihen den Worten verfolgter Dichter:innen eine neue Stimme. Von Bertolt Brecht bis Mascha Kaléko – ihre Gedichte, während der NS-Zeit verboten und unterdrückt, werden zu den Lyrics dieser besonderen Lesung. Die Künstler:innen loten das politische Potential der Worte aus und setzen ein Zeichen gegen das Vergessen der Bücherverbrennung durch die Nationalsozialisten am 10. Mai 1933.

Ein Abend mit zeitgenössischer Lyrik & Musik von Künstler:innen aus (Exil)Iran.

»Werde ich noch einmal meine Haare mit Wind kämmen?«, so fragt Forugh Farochzzad, eine der wichtigsten Dichterinnen der iranischen Moderne, die bis heute iranische Künstler:innen inspiriert. Seit der Islamischen Revolution von 1979 können sich diese nur unter Inkaufnahme von Zensur und Gefängnisstrafen im Iran gesellschaftskritisch äußern, sie arbeiten im Untergrund oder gehen ins Exil.

The Poetry Project on LTV #3 mit Mariia Kaziun »Drei Impressionen«, Iryna Omelianshuk »Три слова« (»Drei Worte«) und Anastasiia Dunaieva »Останній день« (»Letzter Tag«) aus der Ukraine. Die deutsche Übersetzung der Gedichte liest die Schauspielerin Selin Dörtkardeş.

In der zweiten Ausgabe von The Poetry Project on LTV tragen Mohamad Zahra und Mustafa Aliesa ihre Gedichte »مقبرة الوطن« (»Die Heimat ist ein Gräberfeld«) und »كابوس« (»Einer meiner Träume«) vor. Die Schauspielerin Selin Dörtkardeş liest die deutsche Übersetzung.

In der ersten Ausgabe von Poetry Project on LTV tragen die kurdischsprachigen Autor:innen Leyla Akyildiz und Bahadȋn Akhan ihre Gedichte »Bişaftin« (»Assimilation«) und »Ecûzeya zimanî« (»Die Sprachenhexe«) vor. Die Schauspielerin Selin Dörtkardeş liest die deutsche Übersetzung. 

Lisette Ma Neza und Maja-Ajmia Yde Zellama geben mit »Banale Dans« eine künstlerische Antwort auf »Banale Dans« aus Paul van Ostaijens Gedichtband Besetzte Stadt.

Mit »Het ge_______________________sprek« liefert Andy Kipple eine künstlerische Antwort auf »De Triestigheid ’s morgens« aus dem Gedichtband »Besetzte Stadt« von Paul van Ostaijen.

Mit »Resonantie« liefert Danny Ronaldo eine künstlerische Antwort auf »Music Hall 3« aus dem Gedichtband »Besetzte Stadt« von Paul van Ostaijen.

Mit »C’est la pluie« liefert Anke Verschueren eine künstlerische Antwort auf »Eenzame stad« aus dem Gedichtband »Besetzte Stadt« von Paul van Ostaijen.

Charlien Adriaenssens und Lukas Simonis gehören zu den Gewinnern des offenen Aufrufs zur Ausarbeitung einer aktuellen Antwort auf das ikonische BOEM PAUKESLAG-Gedicht aus Paul van Ostaijens Gedichtband Besetzte Stadt.

Exactly one year after we kicked off the Paul van Ostaijen year with Boem Paukeslag!, we sound the retreat of the festivities in Antwerp with an equally swinging closing show. Hall AthenA, in the Athenaeum where foolish Polleke himself went to school, is being transformed into a Music Hall for the occasion: with live music, poetry and performances by Dutch- and German-speaking artists.
