Seit einigen Jahren spielt Saša Stanišić mit seinem Sohn ein Erzählspiel: Der Kleine gibt drei Worte vor, und Saša Stanišić macht eine Geschichte daraus. Die immer damit anfängt, dass er mit dem Taxi wegfährt – und zum guten Schluss zurückkehrt. Am Rande des Literaturfestivals in Reykjavík erfand er eine Geschichte für uns – zu den Worten „Fuchs“, „Vulkan“, „T-Shirt“.
Das Video-Projekt »Zeit zuzuhören« des Goethe-Instituts entstand in den Anfangstagen der Corona-Pandemie als eine Reaktion auf die schwierige Situation, die viele Menschen auf der ganzen Welt dazu zwang und immer noch zwingt, zu Hause zu bleiben. In dieser Isolation hören sie vermehrt Nachrichten einer globalen Krise und Bedrohung. Doch wie in Boccaccios »Il Decamerone« und vielen weiteren Mythen und Büchern anderer Kulturen folgen auf die Beschreibung des Unglücks: Geschichten. Die Website des Projekts „Zeit zuzuhören“ (www.goethe.de/zeitzuzuhoeren) bietet eine Sammlung dieser Geschichten im Videoformat – erzählt von Menschen aus allen Bereichen der Kunst, von überall auf der Welt, aufgenommen mit dem Handy, direkt von zu Hause.

»How does the Arctic fox change its coat?« by Saša Stanišić
Over the last few years Saša Stanišić has played a story-telling game with his young son: the boy gives him three words, and he then makes a story out of them. All of the stories begin with him driving away in a taxi – and end with him happily coming back home again. While at the Literature Festival in Reykjavík he invented a story specially for us – using the words ‘fox’, ‘volcano’ and ‘T-shirt’.
#Timetolisten The video is part of the literature project »Time to listen«: The current situation has forced many people around the world to stay at home and follow the news. In this isolation they hear the news of a global crisis and threat. As in Boccaccio’s »Il Decamerone« and many other myths and books of other cultures, the description of the disaster is followed by stories. The project „Time to listen“ presents a collection of stories – told by storytellers from all genres of art, from all over the world.
